Person critically injured in hit and run

A person has been critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in south Auckland this evening.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Hills Road in Ōtara just before 7pm.

Police said the vehicle involved left the scene, but an arrest has been made since.

Hills Road is closed while a scene examination is underway.
