A person was found dead on a road near a private property in Wellington on Saturday afternoon.

A citizen reported to the police that a person was lying motionless on a private road in The Rigi area of the Northland suburb in Wellington round 2:45 pm. The police immediately proceeded to the scene. The police are present at the scene, and further details regarding the cause of death are yet to be disclosed.
