One dead after vehicle rolls in North Otago

A person is dead after their vehicle rolled in North Otago.

The accident happened on Shines Road, Island Cliff on Friday morning. Police were alerted at 9.30am.

The person died at the scene. The cause remains unknown.

WorkSafe has been advised and the Serious Crash Unit is investigating.

“Police would like to thank and acknowledge the members of the public and the volunteers who assisted at this tragic crash,” police said on Friday night.
