Police investigate serious assault in Kumeū

Police are appealing for information about an assault in the Auckland suburb of Kumeū.

They said the serious incident took place during the annual Kumeū Volunteer Fire Brigade’s Huapai Hillbillies Hoedown in early May.

A person was moderately injured in the attack about 11pm on 4 May.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who attended the event at the Kumeū Showgrounds.
